Visit Motovun

Our journey to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle was made all the more enjoyable by our excellent guide Yanes (i think I write it well). He regaled us with fascinating stories about the historical and modern significance of these two incredible landmarks. Yanes inside knowledge made navigating the cave a breeze, providing us with maps and helpful tips to ensure a seamless experience. He also took great care to prepare us for what lay ahead, ensuring our safety and comfort every step of the way.
We couldn't have asked for a better guide. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the wonders of Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle, and if you're lucky enough to have Vladimir as your guide, you're in for a real treat!

Our tour to the stunning caves and castle was excellently organised, with a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. The trip from Ljubljana was made by the air-conditioned mini bus, which was a relief in the hot summer day with 35C. Our first stop were the Postojna cave, which took our breath away. The cave tour began on a train and lasted 1.5km, with some steep walks, but the views were well worth it. The guided tour concluded with a train ride back, lasting around 1.5 hours, allowing us 30 minutes to explore the gift shops and grab a drink.
Our next stop was Predjama castle, only a 10-15 minute drive away, with amazing views from the top. We had enough time to indulge in a meal from one of the three cafes/restaurants. The entire trip took a little over an hour to get back to our drop-off point. This trip is a must-do and was the highlight of our few days in Ljubljana.

Our experience was absolutely perfect with our guide he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the tour unforgettable. The Postojna cave, which is the largest in Europe and receives hundreds of visitors daily, is a unimaginable underground world that left us in awe. The Predjama castle, dating back to the twelfth century and featured in the Guinness Book of Records, was simply incredible as well. We highly recommend this tour, as both the Postojna cave and Predjama castle are must-see attractions.
